Hey Guys,
I am trying to get an idea on how long it's taking to get the visa processed.
My Timeline:
March 28th - Applied for visa
April 13th - Biometrics submitted
May 10th - Biometrics completed
No updates yet. Anybody got their visitor visa from USA recently.
Also, how long it takes to get the passport stamped if i get the visa approved in few days.
thanks!
Processing is around 50 days not including biometrics, which you have completed. Do you have an immediate family member in Canada?
Yes immediate family member is there. Do you know if 50 days are counted after April 13th or May 10th?

So do you need written authorization to travel too? Count from when the application was received.
You don’t need authorization for immediate family member but you need it for distant family member visit. We are at 52 days in that case. Nothing yet!

Ok so it is your spouse, child, or parent in Canada who are PR/citizen. Many people consider siblings/grand children as immediate family members. So you are up on the rules. You say “we” so assume all your family members meet the requirements. All the best.
