This is by no means an incorrect PHAC Application. There are situations in pregnancy that call for critical care and PHAC is the only option. I’d appreciate if people can refrain from such comments that are useless.
Couldn't agree more. It's critical to have at least one parent around to be able handle the final few weeks of pregnancy, and more importantly, the postpartum weeks (after birth). Anyone who says one spouse can take care of everything, on top of their existing job and/or supporting existing child, has probably not experienced childbirth. People can't even hire a helper/cook/nanny right now due to lockdowns, even if they could. And as you said, pregnancies can go sideways with complications, there can be C-section surgery, etc. in which case one needs all the strength and support they can muster.
Pregnant women's parents are not coming to Canada on PHAC to just hang out or "meet grandchild" – they're damn worried! And all they want to do is come here and care for their daughter as much as they can. So pregnancy, especially if you or your wife is in the last stages of it, is certainly a key reason to use PHAC application. We should be glad Canada has made a provision to allow such a thing, during these highly challenging times of Covid that we're in.

Phac approval took couple of days.biometric was done in nepal before phac approval .once phac approval came in ,I messaged irrc to expedite the process and next day they asked us for passport submission.
Vfs tracking says it is in chandigrah irrc transit.not sure how long will it take,but phac is expiring in 1st of May.

Thanks for your response. I have emailed IRCC to expedite my parents TRV based on PHAC approval. It's been 8 working days and have not received any communication through email or CIC portal??..Any idea why it's taking so long for me...

Same here, I emailed on 31st March but haven’t received any reply or update on the application. Had received automated receiving confirmation.

Yes, I have submitted an application for PHAC approval just 5 minutes back. I really don't care even if it is a Single entry visa. Right now my wife needs her mother's support. Will do another application in the future if we get a single entry visa.
I really don't have any idea of how this PHCA approval helps us but I did submit.

Hi how long your parents PHAC was valid for.looks like passport stamping takes more than a month ,however PHaC approval is for one month only.did passport stamping came within PHAC approval time frame?
