Does anyone have an idea if I can apply for a visitor visa for Canada if my purpose of visit is H1B visa stamping in Dec 21 (in Ottawa)? I’m aware that all non essential travel is restricted to Canada at the moment, just confused whether it applies to my situation.
I have a sister who is a Canadian citizen who lives in Toronto. I’m currently based in the US.

Just apply visit visa as a tourist or visiting family, don't have to mention you are only applying for H1B stamping purposes. Once you get your visa approved you can go for stamping (provided you can book a visa slot and it doesn't get canceled).
