Hello everyone just have a situation that is confusing me
My friend applied for visitor visa extension cause he was waiting for a lmia
So he got his lmia, went to the border and was denied of working visa the border agent stamped his passport with a 3month extension (Jan 2025) of visitor stay since he was in implied status when he got to the border
now 3 days after that there was a decision on his pending visitor extension and was granted another year upto october 2025
so should he follow the stamp of the border patrol agent or is he safe to stay upto oct 2025?
any input is helpful thank you
anyone have any idea?
Is there someone i can call to ask this question?
Visa doesn't give you an authorization to stay in Canada but to enter. How long you can stay is decided by a border officer.

Sorry explained it wrong he has a 10 year valid visa until 2032
His 6 months stays was coming up close and applied for an extension to remain in canada
While in implied status he went to the border got denied for the work permit but the agent stamped his passport for 3 months so that he has a status i guess
3 days after going to the border he got approval from ircc to remain in canada until october
Thats his dilemma now stay until stamped jan or is he able to remain until october?

In my understanding he can stay until October.
What was the approval ? Can you name the document?
Ill copy paste the first paragraph
"Your application to remain in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved. A secure document has been mailed to you at the address that you provided when you made your application. If you have not received your secure document within six weeks, "
It says permit - vr
Yes. you are good to stay until October as per your visitor record.

He can remain as a visitor but why would he want to stay if he is waiting for a work permit that is not guaranteed and can’t work? The longer he visits the more concern that he may be working illegally.

Adding your visitor validity till 2032 is irrelevant how long you can stay
Adding those visas can be cancelled as we’ve seen if the CBSA IRCC thinks you’re abusing them
You’re a visitor

Guys can I have two applications for same matter to be processing from federal court for judicial review?
