Congrats...it should take 1 week for visa stamping and passport return. Do make sure to send relevant VFS fees with your passport.

https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/UnitedKingdom/contact_us.html ....use the chat option or call VFS to find out about your application tracking number and if they have sent your passport back to you then they should give you courier tracking number too.

Also in your online account you will see document Details section once the visa has been stamped on your passport, that is another way of checking...

Yes, that will be your visa expiry. Normally it will be your passport expiry date as canada doesnt issue visa more than passport validity.

Yeah US visa is very straight forward. Do you have family members living in US or you want to go for tourism? You will need to fill out DS-160 form https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ and then once form is completed use this website to schedule an appointment https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/niv . You will need to go for an interview and officer decides on the spot if your approved or not. If approved then you will get your visa in 3-4 days
