I submitted my file for visitor visa on 28 July 2024, done biometric on 31st July, Last update was on 31st July. Processing time is 56 days when I applied but now it's 96 days. Raised a webform on 11th Sept which I got response (18th Sept) saying "We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your visitor visa application is still in process.
At this time, all required documents and information have been received by the responsible office"
Does it mean my review is started or did my file got allotted to a visa officer.
When can I expect my visa result.
What is gcms notes. Can I order now . Do I get them instantly. How much is the fee.
Just say something. I'm feeling like my visa is rejected already.
GCMS notes are your case file records which contain visa officers remarks
it cost $5 to get the notes but they will arrive in 4 weeks
so no harm in ordering if you want to but it might not have the information you are looking for
people usually order them once their visa decision is made and it's a refusal
your application is in process no one knows which stage it's on
you can send an email to your local visa office and inquire about status

The processing time was supposed to be around 50 days when I applied but till date my application shows still under process. I got married recently and so I even raised a webform informing IRCC the same and provided all my details but no response yet on the webform I raised. My travel date is 1Oct and haven't heard anything yet.
Please advise what can be done in this case? Should I rebook my ticket and change all my hotel bookings to a later date in December? If I do so, are there chances of rejection?

Come in here then. Actually I read your meaningless message here and posted in the other thread. Here you are telling the people that the visitor visa is shut for Indians, as if you were allotting the visas before and won't process from now on. Don't try to be oversmart.

I am not sure on how to proceed further. Whether I should postpone my travel dates or should I apply for spousal PR application first and then on that basis update my visitor visa application? Any help/guidance on this would be great

Applying for spousal sponsorship and getting AOR doesn’t guarantee a TRV but likely will increase chances. Nobody should purchase a plane ticket until they have approved travel documents.
