Visitor Visa Applied Aug 2021 | Old IRCC Portal |Biometrics Sep 2021

Hi,
I submitted Visitor Visa application for my parents on Aug 24th and they gave their Bio metrics on Sep 24th. I applied through the Old IRCC portal using GCkey,
No response or updates yet !

Should I re-apply through the new portal?
Anyone in the same situation?

Please let me know

I have applied for visitor visa in Sept 2021, biometric in Oct 2021, after that no response.
Please share your visa status, have you got yours?

Applied for my parents visitor visa.

Timeline:

1st Application submitted: 24th Aug 2021 (using GCKey)
Biometrics updated: 6th October 2021
2nd Application submitted: 12th Dec 2021 (using New IRCC Portal)

No response at all. both applications are as it is.

I have similar case, have applied around the same time line your parent, no response yet. I am parent, my son is in Canada for MS.
We (me and my wife) applied in 22 Aug 2021, biometric on 12 Oct 2021 with GCKey, after that it is in processing.
Do you advise to reapply in new portal? I never knew that there is new portal.
Please share your experience, it will be useful.

I submitted a total of three applications for my parents who are in India. Two via the old GCkey portal (on August 15 2021 and October 26 2021 ). One via the new IRCC portal (on November 3 2021).

The November 3rd application was approved yesterday.

I Finally got my Parents Visitor Approved and passport request letter. Guess the only way is PATIENCE

Was there a change in your eligibility status before you got a passport request? Did you send any emails or webforms? I submitted my parents application august 28 and up until know it is still in progress. Background check is in progress since last year and the eligibility hasn’t even started yet.

We applied on 16th Aug 2021 through gc key which is the old portal . biometrics done on 1st October 21. we do not know what to do? my friend applied in
dec and got the visa. we are so confused as to what we should do. thanks

I applied new application thru new portal on Nov 2021 so it’s seen when they withdraw old application probably they started looking at new one
Yea I think you should apply new application from new portal especially after thr sept announcement

hi I applied on 19 august, biometric done 7 october, no response till now. did you get any response to 2nd application ? should i reapply?
