One Quick question- Does any one now how long visitors can stay maximum on visitor visa- Is it 6 months or 180 days.
I am planning to book a flight ticket for my parents from July 5 2017 to Jan 02 2018 (181 days). So its more than 180 days.
In CIC website it's 6 months and 6 months = More than 180 days
My parents got regular visitor visa for 8 years not visitor visa. Please advice

They are calendar based. (Six months are not 180 days, they are 182-183 days.)
Add six months to your date of entry and that is the date you should have left:
Enter: 16-Feb-2017
Not be in Canada by: 16-August-2017
In your example July 5 2017 to January 2nd is quite on the edge, but it is allowed under the 6 months rule.
BTW it is not advised to book 6 months. CBSA will not like that you are stretching to the max your stay and might even give a shorter stay as a result. Keep it down to 2-3 months if you definitly most.
As a sidenote: The 6 month rules are not meant to be abused. You are expected to leave way before the 6 month mark so you do not need to be making these questions.
