I recently applied for a study permit extension and got it approved. I applied for a TRV in April 2021 from inside Canada and it got approved in Aug 2021. When I checked my passport after stamping, it shows status as Visitor instead of Student, valid till my passport expiry.
Some of my friends received a similar status when they applied for TRV after work permit approval too.
Has anyone faced the same issue? Is this the new system? Please help.
