Hi,

I have applied for my visitor record on November 11th 2024. My PGWP work permit expired on November 19th. Now I am in implied status and on January 13th I am flying back to my home country.

So once I leave Canada, do I need to proceed with the visitor record application if IRCC asked me to submit more documents for the processing of the visitor record I have applied for?

You don't need to proceed with visitor record as you are leaving. If IRCC requests additional documents, you can simply not respond. This will result in a withdrawal and fees refunded. Also, withdrawal is not a rejection.

Thanks for not gaming the system. All the best!

Good day,
Please, my wife applied for visa to Canada upon securing admission to a Canadian university.
The visa approval is yet to arrive and classes already commenced on 6th of January 2025.
If we receive the visa approval, can she still appeal to the school to allow her join her other course mates?
If this is not possible, can she travel to Canada while waiting to start school in September 2025 upon deferral?
Thank you.

Shouldn't you ask the school this? Its up to them if they will accept her or demand a deferral. Regardless , no person here can tell you for sure

Thank you. I'll just wait to see the final decision on the visa. We shall contact the school there after to see if she can still be allowed to resume
Thank you once again.

Almost no chance she’ll be able to start a program at this point. You should be contacting the school about federal now to see your options.
