Hi everyone! I'm hoping someone can help me with the following:

I applied for a Restoration status/Visitor record mid-July, 2019 in order to remain in Canada (after refusal for an OPW extension). It took almost 4 months processing time but I got the approval.

The "Date Issued" on the paper of my Visitor Record states the recent date in which they approved it (mid-November). It's that correct? So what happens with all the time in between (under implied status) in terms of my Immigration records? I had the idea that the paper would somehow show I restored my status as a visitor from the date I submitted my application in July, instead. Perhaps I'm just confusing terms (restoration one thing, visitor record another one)...but I just want to know if it's all good with the dates on my paper.

Thanks in advance!
