Hello GUys,

My wife is on student visa in Ontario, canada. I would like to join her and i approached a consultancy where they are applying for my TRV. i was told from consultancy that i would have to apply for work permit once i land in canada. not sure if this is the process... any help on this is highly appreciated. thanks

If your wife is on study permit, then you have to apply for OPEN WORK PERMIT if you want to apply to stay with her. You can apply for TRV if you want to visit and while here you can apply for work permit from outside Canada which is completed. Better apply for work permit now. You need copy of your wife's study permit, marriage certificate, your financial documents (bank statements, employment letter, educational certificates). You must also apply to include your children with her unless you don't want to come with them.
