Hello, does anyone know if its possible to apply for a visiting visa for my wife, after we have sent in the application?
I was told it is, but some friends said if she is accepted that she must go back to pick up her visa and whatever other documents and then come back.
Is this true? or is it possible just to inform CIC and the embassy in that country that she is visiting me here in Canada and any documents for her can be forwarded here?
Also if she is called for interview, would she have to go from here to there or can she just do her interview here?
(not really sure how this procedure works, anyone know?)
If she can qualify for a TRV then she can come visit you.
You can update her mailing address so that it is your address and thus any mail for her will be sent to her in Canada - she does not need to be present in Canada to do so, but clearly if she is in Canada then she will be able to receive it. Note that her residential address would not change, only her mailing address. This can be updated by informing the visa office of the change.

would any of these updates delay wait times? because i dont want to do anything that will delay wait times for this. but on the other hand, kind of hard to wait about a year before seeing your own wife...
what about the interview though, if she required to do one, would they accept to do it here in canada somewhere or would she have to go back home?
