Hello all,
I am a PR cardholder but staying in Bangladesh for the last 2 years. My younger daughter was born in Bangladesh and she is 1 yr now.
As we are planning to go to Canada as required by PR rules, what type of visa should I apply for my daughter? I want to initiate sponsorship after I reach there in Canada.
Is it possible to get a visit visa for her and after reaching there to initiate sponsoring?
Thanks in advance.

1. You can try for a visitor visa, and if it is refused, then you can request a TRP (Temporary Resident Permit). The TRV is likely to be refused, as the intention is for your daughter remain permanently in Canada. If both are refused, then one of the parents with PR status will have to return to Canada and sponsor the child.
