visa release, but still ?

my visa already come out last dec 4 2009 as an immigrant. but when my agency called my employer, they advise to just wait. is it possible for the employer not to hire me anymore. and can i enter canada and find other job? my visa will expire october this year. pls advise thanks

thanks qorax. i applied as provincial nominee. and im just worried cause it take 3years to procces my papers and maybe my employer dont need my service anymore. ?????

If you have a visa, use it before it expires.
