Hi all,

is there any reason in particular that I might have missed as to why the processing times for the outland applications haven't been updated? Last update was Oct. 30th 2013, and a quarterly update was due Jan. 30th or let's say mid Feb. the latest.

Last update was delayed too and at this rate, this is not a quarterly update anymore, it's a "whenever we feel like doing it" update.

Is it really supposed to be quarterly? I used to think that since the second stage takes longer, they'd only update it every 12 months. ???

I was wondering the same thing, Avadava. You would think it would have been updated by now.

On their website is says: "Last quarterly update October 30, 2013". So I assume, just like everyone else, that this update is done quarterly. Otherwise, they would have said "Last update October 30, 2013".

Ava,

I was thinking that they are trying to get back to a calender year quarterly update and may be waiting for end of March??

At least that's what I keep telling myself :o

:D I think your quote is correct Avadava! The updates are supposed to be quarterly and usually they are a month to a month and a half after the end of the quarter. I suspect the delay this time is because March is the fiscal year end for the gov't and they get behind on many things at this point in the year. The upside is that many of the VO's that have been slow in processing applications get their butts in gear to finish up files so their year end stats and yearly processing averages look better. So no, you have not missed anything, CIC has!

Maybe not "everyone else" has read every footnote on their website, but thanks for the info anyway.

I think last week I checked Wed and nothing and then Thursday it was there. The quarterly update is frustrating since there was the strike and it skewed some times. End of the day, whatever time is there doesn't mean it'll take yours that time though - I have to remind myself that's how far behind they are!
