Background includes Criminality and security. Its difficult to understand what stage does IRCC mean when they refer to Background.
What about your gcms? Did you receive them?

I don't know where they have put my file, but its nowhere close to an immigration officer
The standard processing time is 123 days according to the website and I am on my 200th day. Not to mention that I have had three USA tourist visas in the past. I thought it would play a role in the processing times, unfortunately not.
It doensn't have any bearing on getting it processed faster, in getting it approved yes it does, but not processing times. We're all in this together , it's a patience game.

Patience for permanent residence perhaps yes, but tourist visa ?
They ask you exactly when do you plan to visit and I was planning to visit Canada in June this year, hence why I applied in March, plenty of time to approve/disapprove the application.
