Yes , definitely don't worry I don't think such small thing should affect whole application.

There are other lot of valid reasons for rejection but I don't think this one should affect.

Not to be worry. I had also written India and also got approval from CIO NS.

With the above posting by malu08 and thinking that there is only one CHC in INDIA, which is in NEW DELHI, I think they should accept your application and approve it. IO's idea will be to access and get the information about where the application will go after approval, and as you have written INDIA, it will go to NEW DELHI.

Guys bad news that application has returned yesterday due to wrong visa office. anyway I have re-applied on the same date yesterday. Hope so this time it will be safe.
Best of luck both of u guys, be prepared to re-apply coz they wont spare.

What about the rules ? will they be the same for the year 2010.

I think no body can predict if they will be same or not. But as of today there is no change published on website.

The concern is only till the time application reaches CIO office, after that rule change do not impact applicant. Since you have applied on 2nd Feb again, I see no reason for you to worry.

And for myself I pray that there is no change till I hear back from CIO.

It is really sad to hear. Dear do u please share what they had written in their reply to you along with your application?

Further, what are u now going to do with returned DD? Since it is valid only for six months, would u use the same again or has plan to encash it & make a new one again.

If you do not have atleast three months in expiry date, I would recommend to use new draft to avoid any more request to resend.

Yeah Ankit, I'm going to follow it, but at the same time I'm feeling really sorry for u & Canada1234 that u both unfortunately came to know about this mistake very late.
