Please, I taught I would have some months after my program to organize myself. But the study permit issued to me will expire exactly in the same month I will conclude my program. My program will end in May 2014 and so is my study permit. Please, how do I extend my stay so that I will not return to my country?
1. IMM Form 5710E
2. Passport, VISA & Study Permit
3. Medical Examination within last 12 month Proof (Optional if you are not going for a health science or medical related course)
4. Final Transcript
5. Digital Photo
6. $150 Fee
if i were you , i would reach college , change my course to a longer one and apply for a study permit extention 3 months b4 its expiry.
with a 9 month course , you would get a 9 month PGWP , very diff to get a PR , you have no chance in federal CEC.
Only PNP is the left option , its pretty diff overall with just a 9 month work permit. Or unless ur employer filed for an LMO , which is not easy as well.

Rules are getting strict now in some colleges and gradually covering all colleges in Canada. Now you will not get fee refund if you change your college in George Brown and Centennial, this will be implemented in whole of Canada. Apart from that, a 9 month course will get you a 1 year PGWP not 9 months. You will be eligible for CEC. Yes! It is still difficult to get a PR with 1 year PGWP.
I am going to Humber College for Enterprise Software Development. But they also have a two year course "Information Technology Solutions". If I decide to change to this course, will it help? Or should I look for any cheaper course because this is a self-sponsored program.
I would really need to work to finance the last year because I have spent everything on tuition fee and accommodation

try selecting a co-op oriented course, it increases ur course length whilst helping u financially..!! make sure CO-OP is part of the degree i.e u get a co-op designated degree i.e co-op terms have credits which are added to ur final marksheets!!
This course was with CO-OP when I applied. In short that was my reason for choosing it but surprisingly, it was not included in my admission letter. I was mad when I discovered it.
Please, if I am applying for extension, will I be expected to pay the last session tuition fee in full just like they (embassy) requested when I applied for visa.
