I started to study in the Canadian college in September as an international student on the 2015 and got my student Visa and study permit that are valid untill the end of August 2017
However due to health conditions I had to withdraw from my program for one academic term and then I returned and continued studying. The expected graduation date was the end of December 2016,however because I missed one term,I have to stay longer to complete my program and to get my Diploma.
I will be graduating by the end of August 2017 and my study permit expires in about the same time and then my visa will expire one month later.
So,the question is,should I extend my study permit and visa if I'm planning to stay in Canada and get a PGWP after my Diploma?

1. You must have a valid study permit when applying for a PGWP.
2. You can apply for an extension 3 months in advance. In your case you might get extension up to 90 days post graduation period.
