Visa duration confusion

If i apply for 1 yr diploma course at vancouver then what will be my visa duration? Is it exactly same 12 months as my study duration or it will be 1 year study and 1 year work permit.
same way if i am choosing 2 yr diploma then what will be visa duration?

If i am applying in 2 yr master degree program then what will be visa duration?? and work permit duration?

Some websites are saying, rules are changed, some are sayin dependin upon province i select. I dont know exact scenario.
So kindly please advice.

visa is issued generally 3 to 4 months more thn course duration....as you may apply for work permit after studies and come early to find
place to live,,..,.,but it depend on VO...
