Next week I will send more documents to Vienna which they requested last week
I hope it's enough proof for our common-law status. I can't provide everything they want but I wrote a 2 page explanation letter explaining the situation.

My initial application was 2.5 cm thick and my new envelope of proof will be another 2 cm

That should be more than enough evidence.

I applied Feb 22, 2013. I got asked for proof of ongoing to communication and any trips that sponsor made on Jan.28, 2014. Everything was sent Jan 30, 2014 and reached Vienna Feb.6th. I am hoping this 'in process' thing means its almost over, but you never know :s

We have the exact same timeline then! It would be neat to get to Canada at the same time too what did they ask you for when they asked for additional docs?

Sorry I've been MIA - didn't have internet for a while.

Got good news! Got our sponsor approval Feb.19, 2014 (sent the app to Mississauga Jan.19, 2014)!!! Finally the file is being sent to Vienna!

Can I be added to the spreadsheet now? =D teehee


I only skimmed through the last few pages and I see a balance of ups and downs. Really does seem like it comes down to each individual visa officer and how they process files... that's annoying.

Now i've red some of you sent additional documents around same time as us, and the applications have chenged to "in process" and ours is still not updated

Don't worry about the "in process" thing...ours is showing that since January 2013 ( a year ago), and JJ22 was in process 1 day and decision made the next day. There is not 1 thing with Vienna that is standard or that can give you any clues as to where they are at. I's frustrating but don't try to figure them out, nothing make sense with them.

They asked for new Schedule A , new police check for my husband sponsored, and some evidence that showing we are in communication now.

I Agree that it means nothing, it is nice to see that you are in process but after a while the euphoria goes away because you are just waiting again like before...Nada - stay strong!!

I sent an e-mail to vienn-visa@international.gc.ca :s is that the right one?? Now i see an enquiries form that you can fill out! What do i do?? Should i resend it??
