I think my MP here is really fast, i got sometiems that day news, or the nest morning , with the phone call and with the email , i hope by tomorrow you will get some good news,
haha that's what we want to, to flagpole and have a PR party!!!
unfortunately, it's easter this week so government is off Friday and Monday. I am hoping, just like McDutch to get the COPR before the end of the month.
guys don't worry about the AOR too much, it doesn't really mean anything. There are people on this thread who got their AOR two-three months after us and their cases got processed way faster.
I was wondering if someone could answer a question i have. Even though im still early in the process but always wanted to know once a spouse gets their visa and you purchase a plane ticket should you get just a one way ticket or round trip? And if its round trip what would you put as the return date even though they arent returning? Do immigration officers look at that when a PR lands for the first time.

You could buy a one way ticket since as a PR holder, the immigration officers won't question this. However, one way tickets are much more expensive (equivalent to a return flight). I assume your spouse would still want to go back and visit once in a while, I suggest buying a return ticket with a return flight for next year or so, most airline companies are pretty flexible. You could also move/cancel (and get credit) for the return flight with most companies for a small premium. But technically you can do both options. My husband did both as a visitor and he never had any problems coming in to the country.
