1. We received your application for permanent residence on September XX, 2013.
2. Medical results have been received.
According to GCMS notes which we received about a month ago I have passed the medical exam. Therefore I hope Vienna will extend my medical because it will expire in September just like yours. Did you ever request GCMS notes?
[/quo
Mine is the exact same.. my medicals expired at the start of Aug though and I have not received the request to renew.. my GCMS notes also indicated that it was passed and i have a friend who works for CIC ( not in Vienna but here in Ont.) she says they will not ask me to re-do it ( she could be wrong though).. i hope they do not its such a money grab.
Does anyone know if this update affects applicants that applied before this change?
I applied in November 2013, it was 13 months processing time then..

yes I'm sure. And no it doesnt mean that your application will finish in 17 months. it could be done before. It just give them the right until 17 months. And remember these are suppose to change every 3-4 months. so it could go back down. its calucalated by how many applications they rec'd in the last 6 months.

I hate this stupid process It's against our rights as humans to be treated like this Every time that my waiting time gets close to what they've announced as the processing time, they push it further AAAAGHHHHH
Seventeen months? Are they out of their right minds?
I haven't seen my husband in a full two years (as of yesterday, literally). His bosses are horrific jerks who won't give him free time to visit me, and I'm a failed refugee so I can't visit him either.
Is this the family reunification that they so religiously preach of? It really seems that some things are being done on purpose, to make applicants drop their cases on their own, just from the stress and financial/mental horror this process entails.
MOST overseas visa offices need desperate reform. How is Manila working like a charm, yet the rest of the world is slacking like a bad student?
Sorry, that was my mistake, I only recently put the dates in my profile. We applied in October, and the sponsor was approved November 22nd (its been 9.5 months since then)
My husbands medical is going to expire soon as well, in about 2 months. I heard that they usually finish before it expires, and if it has to be renewed then it means the process will be over in about a month or so?
