i m from india. i have paid my one year fees in humber for pharmacy technician course.($12,200.00).i have 6,00,000 extra bank funds to show in visa file. how much educational loan is required under spp? my agent said that4,00,000 educational loan is sufficient. is it true?
I checked this question from a Visa Officer during a seminar they had held in New Delhi. They told us that "We had set the limit of 80% of tuition fees + Living expense for SPP. If you submit any loan less than that, you can do it but we will not process it as SPP and will treat it as a general application".
Loan amount required is 80% of first year tuition fees + living expense.
You haven't mentioned the living expense (it wd be on your offer letter). Let's take an assumption that it is 10,000 CAD. You have mentioned your tuition fees as 12,200.00
Total amount: irst year tuition fees + living expense = 22,200. SPP loan requirement is 80% of 22,200 = 17,760 CAD or about 8,20,000 (approx) INR.
Since you have already paid the first year fees, you can apply as general. For SPP, you have to show an "approval" of 80% loan.
A tip: You always have the choice to not disperse (allocate) the loan amount. SPP only wants to have the approval, not the disbursal letter. This means you can get the appoval and file as SPP, and get the VISA without taking the loan (since you have the required funds).
