My Venezuelan wife is living in Santiago, Chile. September 2018 we married in Chile and immediately started to file for her PR visa for Canada - also i was born and raised in Saskatchewan and Canadian citizen.. We found an agent a friend recommended. Immigration received the Application October 16/18. Immigration has not contacted us yet. I called the agent we hired and she said immigration will contact her and not us. My first question is this correct. She also said that she would look after the immigration account and no need for us to worry. Is this the way it usually works. i understood that immigration would contact us with a number for the account and we could see whats happening and answer any question from immigration. I told her that i wanted to be able to see the account. She said she would allow me to just view it, the problem is i am not certain she is telling me everything. Finally December 19 she agreed with me to send immigration an email, the next day she sent a form that my that she had already signed and the agent said that immigration lost the form stating she was our agent. Today i contacted her and asked if she could send an email to immigration to get the account number, her answer was its better to wait and not bother the immigration officer.
does this all sound ok ????????????
