I arrived in June this year to file my PR. I had to return back to Oman after this. Till date, I haven't received my PR cards and so I understand that in case I want to go to Canada, I will need a Travel document from Canadian Embassy. If I get it, say, in next 15 days, what is the validity of this travel document ? Is it an open travel document or we need to use this within some stipulated time frame ?
I too would like to know about the validity of travel documents. How many months are the travel documents that Canadian embassies issue valid? Would the travel document be issued with a date of expiration on it or would it only expire and get cancelled at the Canadian point of entry once the returning permanent resident re-enters Canada using it? Thank you.

Maximum validity 6 months in nearly all cases.
Travel Document
I submitted the application. I fulfilled the time requirement but did not have the Landing Document. I only photocopied my Permanent Resident Card. Does this encumber acceptance for me to receive the Travel Document? What is the maximum validity of the Travel Document?
