Hi- i need help concerning trv. I am going on a vacation to philippines in december 2013-january 2014.. My TRV is valid till may 4, 2014. My question is can I go back here in canada with a 4 months validity on my trv?
 
Yes you can, make sure you have a letter from your employer that you were allowed to go on vacation and is expected to come back.

You will also need to get a new OEC from the POEA.
 
Thank you. So you mean as long as trv is valid. You are safe to leave and re-enter canada? There is no 6 months validity rule?
 
Yes, TRV and work permit needs to be valid. There is no 6 months rule.
