This does not Authorize Re-Entry

hi.. I'm under LICP and TRV and i will be having my vacation in the Philippines for a month. Got my multiple Visa and working permit expire will be on 2017. my 20th month here in Canada by the time i will be spending my vacation.. my problem is that my work permit stated that "this does not authorize re-entry" what does it mean? Am i safe to go to the Philippines and go back to Canada without questioning my vacation?

1. You are fine, as you have a valid TRV with your work permit. The TRV authorizes re-entry.

Your work permit does not authorize re-entry because it is not a travel document. Work Permit is a document that allows you to work in Canada.

In order to travel in and out of Canada, you will need a valid TRV. This is the 'foil' document that is printed onto your passport. TRV will allow you to enter into Canada. You will need a multiple-entry TRV if you have travelled before using the same TRV.

Make sure to carry your VALID work permit and VALID TRV while travelling.
