Using your US car in Canada while on TWP

I have a car in USA that I plan to use in Canada. My questions are:

Can I just drive it across the border and use it in Canada?
How long can I use it in Alberta?

1. As long as your work permit is for less than 3 years, then it doesn't have to be imported and you can use it in Canada.

Do I need to change the tag to Canadian tag? Do I have to declare it with customs?
