I am unable to find a clear answer on the forum with respect to using Canada Post Priority to send passports from Toronto to Ottawa.
1) Can i use Canada Post Xpresspost or Priority to send to Ottawa? I am talking about sending not receiving. I understand receiving needs to be via a prepaid xpresspost envelope. If no, what is the mailing option I need to ask at Canada Post?
2) If it is a Yes to Xpresspost or Priority for sending, then do I use the PO Box address or the other courier address?
Appreciate advice from those who sent their passports to Ottawa with a Canadian mailing address. Its Urgent as I need to send my passport.
1) you can use express post, the mail is between 2 major cities so it will arrive the next time in all cases. I sent mine via express post from Edmonton and it arrived next day.
I would also advise to ask for signature option for the sent/return mail to make yourself more confinent.
2) use the same exact address in the ppr email under (sending from Canada section). I remember it have a po box#
Get both prepaid. They come in two size. In the bigger one put the smaller prepaid envelope and passport and the print out pages with pictures. That is all.
