Happened to be sitting at my computer and when I saw the email that you had posted, I KNEW IT! YESSSSS doesn't it feel so so good? I'm so happy for you, my online stranger friend!!! The stress and wait is OVER!
Thank-you guys!! I am shaking so much I was having a hard time eating my lunch. The people in my office are all celebrating with me, lol! I was jumping around screaming.
When I initially spoke to my rep I told him someone from Ottawa had finalized in 4.5 months and he said no way! Ironically we're about 4.5 months today.

When is the best time to have my husband's medical done? We are planing to file within the next month. And even though he's American, he can do his medical up here in Vancouver, right? TIA!
Hi all, by any chance does anyone have direct links to the PDF form(s) required for goods when landing, or do they provide those links with the COPR paperwork once it arrives in the mail?
Hubby won't have any goods to declare but want to fill out the form just in case since it's technically 'required'.

anytime before submitting the application is best. yes, he can get it done at the panel physician in vancouver. it will probably be cheaper anyway than in the US.

All you have to do is google "BSF186", and the CBSA website will pop up with the PDF link. If all his stuff is already in canada, then he doesn't need to fill anything out and will be find without one. it isn't required. he will need to fill out forms if he is bringing in a bunch of items at landing and/or intends to bring things up at a later time.

Just realized my husbands American Passport expires June 2017 - Do you think I should have him renew it now? Or will it be fine...Ha, sorry for all of the questions!

has his application been submitted? i'm pretty sure the passport needs to be valid for at least 6 mo. when the COPR is issued. So, if he just submitted an application or will be soon, then it's in his best interest to get it renewed now and send a copy to the visa office when he gets it back. If he already has been approved, then there is no need to get it updated until he needs to next year.
