hey everybody ;D
about a week ago got an email from my SO stating he had finalized my application, and that it was approved.
he and i have had kindof an unprofessional way of communicating back and forth and thus im a tad confused since he hasnt given me any idea if he has sent out the COPR or if that would take more time. n i dont really wanna bother him anymore because of how helpful hes been.
either way DM in ecas a couple days after he said it was finalized and he told me a few months back that he didnt need my passport nor copies of it considering he already had copies of it and i still have the same passport.. and im pretty sure on the spreadsheet we all considered that period of correspondence as my PPR. either way does anybody have insight on this particular situation?
ive heard of people getting COPR days after decision made in ecas.
while others take months.
but i cant seem to find anything about what happens when you dont have to send in a passport.

Usually they ask for an updated copy of your passport but there have been many reported cases where it goes straight to DM as they check the expiry date of the copy you submitted in with the original application and if the date is far in the future, they assume nothing has changed (especially if the husband is being sponsored so there is likely no last name change unlike wives).
Since you just got DM and the officer said it was finalized, I'd say all is in good shape and you should be getting your COPR soon. They flip to DM after all is done and when they are ready to send out COPR (or after they sent out COPR).
So my application arrived in Mississauga on Friday. Any idea on how long before I can get some type of recognition of receipt other then the signature guarantee from Canada Post? Does the UCI come after they approve Jason to be my sponsor?
