Do you have to give up your American drivers license when you get a Canadian one? I just saw that Florida passed a new rule http://www.caa.ca/travel-documents/idp/ that Canadians must hold an international drivers license to drive in that state. Next year, there's a trade show there and chances are I'll have PR by then (crossing fingers) and will need to rent a car. Do we get to keep our US licenses?
Well today mine changed to decision made and I never even got PPR, so who knows what's going on with it anymore. : Calling in the AM to see if anything is up. If you're interested there is more info on what it says in the Ottawa thread.

I had that happen once. It was a rejection. But I'd had extensive communications with the visa office before it happened, so it wasn't a surprise. I've never heard of a DM case where you didn't hear something before they make their decision.
I hope they tell you something on the phone, but my guess is they won't because the call centre only has information on cases in Canada (and in CIC's world, Ottawa is not in Canada.)
I am doing the same thing. Moving at all is frustrating enough. It'll be weird walking some and relying on public transit for a bit, but I figure more walking can be incorporated into marathon training.
Just money issues. And the car failed safety today so it's MORE money issues. PLUS we got the most rude American border agent I've ever met on the phone when inquiring about if our title was there. Laughed at us several times. My husband said he now knows why Canadians think Americans can be arrogant.
