My husband just received the email which says they have completed his file and we must send his passport withing 30 days! This news couldn't have come at a better time as I pick up the keys to our first home/condo tomorrow!
Side note, the email came from LA.

hey...ecas says in process, and when we called CIC this week, they said the file was transferred to ottawa. but havent heard a single peep-still havent received anything in writing...5 months later! What about you??

We never had a c,he that our file was transferred to LA until the email came yeaterday, so I think it's great news.
And avacdo it will all work out soon for you guys, I know it! Have you guys talked about ordered gcms notes or emailing Ottawa? I have ottawas email address at work if u want me to post it later.
Stay strong, all my energy used to think positive abt getting my husband here I'll now up onto you guys ;D

you're right. I gotta believe ours is in LA if that's where yours was sent before the Buffalo office closed.. but it's just hard to say because it has never actually said "in process".
I wrote to Ottawa about a week ago and never got a reply. I think we will write LA next week (after it's been there for over a month)
