Permanent mailing address is in Bracebridge, Ontario that we used for CIC... we live in the city (Hamilton) while he's at school but still keep his parents address as the permanent address for no confusion. I didn't see one for Bracebridge though, that's why I'm uncertain.

True. But most MPs cover several cities/towns. IE. I live in tiny rinky dinky town. My MP covers about 6 or 7 of these little towns and a city. (Our MP is Gord Brown if anyone is curious ) If I remember correctly, they cover by county don't they? ... My Canadian Politics info has been mashed out by the US politics haha

Don't get too stressed bout it yet. On the CIC processing times website, it says they are working on May 18, which is the same date that they received your application. I don't know if it is really worth getting an MP involved, you are probably just around the corner. Either way, it's going to take at least 180 days (6 months) to get PPR, so why get so stressed out when it's been 100?
I didn't receive any AOR or anything from them. I waited until after the date on the website then called. Then I had to have my wife call, because SHE is the sponsor so, technically, Mississauga was working on her case, not mine. She got information, and they told her that they had transferred my file on July 27. This phone call took place on August 17. Turns out, they only sent an email, and it went into her spam filter!
Anyways, I would wait another week, and as soon as the website changes to go past your date, then have your husband call and get info on your case.
I really think getting MPs involved is only for when cases get lost in the shuffle, as unfortunately has happened to some members on this site.
I agree! I see it as a sense of joint responsibility applicants have to avoid having the access (back-)doors slammed shut so folks have options to reach out to CIC should they run into major trouble down the road.
Yeah, I hadn't even thought of an MP situation (nor until last week did I know what it meant) until it was mentioned here. I'm going to wait... if say another 3-4 weeks pass with not even an AOR, I will though.
