Update: Finally Done my oath today; hopefully citizenship certificate will be received soon. July 30th, 2020 Applicant. We were approved for UP on Sep 15th, 2021. Kitchener Office. Good luck everyone.

Got an email from Montreal office agent today saying my grant of citizenship has been approved. Oath to follow in the next few days/weeks.

I requested UP on the webform last Wednesday, NOV 3, without contacting any local office. I got Decision Made today. My reason for UP is a job offer in the financial sector, which requires a thorough background check. Those who without a Canadian citizenship have to undergo a much more complicated procedure, with a risk of losing the job offer.
I wonder when I will be able to take the oath.
