I made my initial entry in Canada last month from the U.S., and then immediately came back to the U.S. I didn't have a Canadian address at the time.
The officer gave me this phone number 888-242-2100 and said I can update my address (once I had a Canadian address) by calling them. But I am unable to reach that number. I don't know how to change my address now. I still have a U.S. address on file with them. I heard they won't send PR cards to addresses outside of Canada?
Please help! It's been 6-7 weeks already and I don't want to lose the card.
My thoughts:
They do not send PR outside of Canada and you must have a Canadian address to receive your PR.
What the officer meant was that you have 20 working days (as I recall) to call that number and give them your new Canadian address.
That number only works when you call from a Canadian number.
My question for you is, what address did you use in your application?!!
