I have a question regarding me getting a second study permit in canada. Here's my short story....I am Irish and I am married to a Mexican. We live in Vancouver and are currently in the PR process awaiting our PR. I have already had a student permit in 2011 but I never went to college. Now i am living here but I want to apply for a new one so I can actually do something while I am waiting for my PR.
Would it be hard for me to get a second student permit? please any advise is welcomed
If you at any point stayed out of status you cant apply for anything at all. If that isnt the case you can go ahead and apply however a student permit may not be the best thing for you because it implies that you will leave to your country by the end of the period of study, combine that with the fact that you didnt go to school before makes it rather hard. What you might be able to do is talk to a good immigration lawyer and try and get yourself a work permit. With the work permit your allowed to study part time while doing a job. Im sure you know people who could sponsor work for you after staying there for over 2 years now. Hope this helps. Again your best bet is to talk to a immigration lawyer
