Urgent! Extension of deadline for medical

Hello friends! I am currently residing in Canada. My wife and I submitted our CEC application on May 9,2018 with our upfront medical we underwent last year in fall. CIC posted an update on my profile that they need my wife to undergo the medical again because she has been living in Ukraine for the past calendar year. My immigration consultant did not receive an email notification about this update and the deadline for new medical is October 19.
I am not sure if there is availability for medical in Kyiv at this moment before the 19th. I wonder if you know whether it is possible to ask for an extension of the deadline in case there is no date before the 19th. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Yes, that’s what you should do. Send them the confirmation of the apointment with a letter of explanation about your particular circumstance. They will give you an extension to the date of the appointment and as soon as you get the new medical done, submit it immediately.
