Hey Toby,
your experience will give us a great insight for upfront medical.just a thought, I think we can update the email address too in the information you posted on your website for where to send the upfront medical UMI numbers. I believe its CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca , please correct me if I am wrong.
I did my upfront medical on 10th Feb , It was submitted by doctor online on 24th Feb but I still don't see my eCas status changed to "Medical Received" .

It may take a week or two in order for E-CAS to update. Give it a couple of days and if there's no change,
email CPC-O and inform them about your upfront meds and ask whether results have been received or not.
what made you send an email to CIC without confirming from the doctor that the reports have been uploaded, I thought you would be doing it a week after the results get uploaded along with GCMS...just curious to know.

I send my UMI# to CPC-O and told them the results will be uploaded within a week. About a week from now I'm going
to order GCMS to check whether my RPRF payment and upfront medical results have been received. I was going to wait
a week before emailing CPC-O about the upfront medicals, but didn't see why I should wait - so I emailed them after the exam.
Might email again when I know that the results have been uploaded.

Quick follow-up, does the ecas status change after submitting upfront medicals? Or will it only
change when CIC requests MR and the processing actually begins?

I have just checked ECAS of my friend (June 2013 applicant) where CIC used the medicals he did for his LMO application back in May 2013 ( Medicals are valid for 1 year).
There is no direct status called 'Medicals received'. Once the CIC starts processing your application, the status changes to "In Process" and if you click on the hyper link for "In Process", you will find two lines as mentioned below.
1. Your application for permanent residence was received on xx-xxx-xxxx
2. Medical results have been received
It means that if the upfront medicals have been received by CIC ~12 months ago, the status will not be changed until they actually start processing your application.

Awesome, thanks for verifying. Makes me feel way better now As my upfront medicals were submitted about 11 days ago and
my E-CAS status hasn't changed.
hi just wanna ask if the doctor will discuss the results of the medical test so you'll know whether you need to undergo more procedures or need a medications or not. I wonder if they will inform you if the test are all cleared.
thank
