My wife is a care giver and has completed 2 years of work. She wants to apply for PR, however we have a question on the upfront medical exam.
The document checklist has upfront medical exam as a required document to be submitted, however the instructions for the same application says "Do not undergo an immigration medical exam unless we advise you to do so. A medical exam will be required and you’ll receive instructions after you submit your application" - which is which?
We have gone ahead and done the upfront medical exam, will this effect our application if upfront medicals was not required?
No it will be ok for the application as long as it is still valid. Validity is12 months from last examination. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...sing/validity-period-medical-certificate.html . The only issue may be that when PR approved and passport sumitted your CoPR will be valid only until as long as your medical is valid. So you may have limited time to activate your PR by landing. Just something to keep an eye on if it takes a while to get an ITA and have your PR application approved. Good Luck.
