Unique Client Identifier (UCI)

I have created my express entry profile and got my Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number. But my UCI is not 8 digit number as it is mentioned in cic website that, the UCI number is an eight or ten-digit number that looks like this: 0000-0000 or 00-0000-0000.

Rather than my UCI number is like CAN0000******** . Is it okay to have a UCI number like this?

Hey! That wouldn't be your UCI. For your UCI, check your previous visitor visas, work permits, or student permits. If you don't have any of those (if you've never been to Canada) you won't have an UCI yet.

It has to follow the 0000-0000 or 00-0000-0000 format (documents might have it with or without the dash).

I believe you see your UCI when you get a PPR, unless you've had one before after getting a visitor visa, work/student permit, etc.
