No question of working or not working parents it is for all, new or old immigrant, PR or citizen, as long as child is under the age of 6 years, will get the support till the 6th birthday. In addition there is CCTB (Child Care Tax Benefit) also provided by the Government of Canada every month to the eligible families. According to the family income till the child's 18 th birth day.
