The transmission letter I believe is the actual passport request itself. It's simply another name for it. We have verification as a close relative recently sent their passport and got their COPR. They did not include the AWB letter as it's not the transmission letter.

Yes, that's possible. But I saw some confusion on that name in the forum so we included both.

What's the use of the VFS tracking number that we get while paying for the VFS service? Is that used to track the status after the passports are delivered to VFS?

One thing that confused us was the biometric page (final page on the consent form) where they ask if you wish to provide biometrics. We filled in and signed the first option where it said we wish to provide biometrics. Did we do the right thing? Or should we have left it blank?

That's right, you can use it to track the application.

We did the same thing- signed the first section, based on some of the Youtube videos. However, you are right, logically that section makes no sense to ask for biometric consent again. I remember they made the PA to sign the same form during the biometric interview.

I have only one VFS tracking that came with the slip/receipt, when we paid for the premium lounge service.

Do they provide a separate application tracking for dependents as well after VFS receive the package from Blue Dart?

I have three AWBs and all three packages (PA and two dependent children) were picked up by Blue Dart on Monday.

I am able to track packages on Blue Dart for two AWBs.
But, I cannot find any details for the third one. It says no details for the AWB.

Anyone faced the same problem?

Might be a system glitch hopefully. Try again tomorrow.

My understanding is that VFS sends you a tracking id when application is sent from VACs to the embassy. Bluedart just acts as a transmission medium between you and the VAC. Not exactly sure but saw some videos which described it.

I am trying to submit the webform for passport submission. After pressing submit, Instead of asking me to wait for a payment link it is directy asking for card details and asking to make a payment of 1700 something. Can anyone pease advise if this is procedure now. Do we not have to wait for the payment link?

Yes that's the process now. You dont have to wait for the payment link. You should receive AWB numbers immediately after the payment is complete.

You have to wait for the pick up. The details of what you have to write on the envelope will come in the AWS email from VFS.
