Trying to attend a new school! PLEASE HELP!

So for the past year I have been attending a designated learning institution (DL). I have extended my CAQ, and my study permit to continue attending said institution,however; I decided to attend a different school and have applied to said school so far. What I am confused about is if I want to go to the new school and no longer the old school what do I do?! I have seen information on CIC about just changing DL# if you change schools, but I want to get a refund and then go to the new school, and I don't think I can do that.
I am worried if I get a refund from school I won't be able to get another study visa again.
It is looking like I will have to attend the first school THEN attend the new school hopefully one of you can help me clear things up.
