Hi there, my brother 66 yrs still working as a human resources manager, his wife a home maker and youngest son 18 yr old Cambridge university A-level student were rejected twice from Canadian embassy Islamabad, Pakistan. They applied for a multiple entry visit visa, I am his step-brother a permanent resident who lives in Canada and working as a Physician, financially sound and invited them to visit me and family in summer 2012.
Their response, You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident.
The reasons of refusal were as follows; Your travel history, purpose of visit, Limited employment prospect in your country of residence, your current employment situation, your personal assets and financial status.
First application rejected in January 2012, second in August 2012. Would you guys guide when to apply and what different should we do next time in order to get a visit visa.

Maybe am wrong about this, but if you invited them to visit for the summer why would they need a multiple visit visa? Maybe a single entry visa would be better since their purpose to come to Canada is just for a family visit. If they are able to showcase the date they want to visit and when you're brother and his son are expected back at work/school would help!

Apply GCMS notes and you will find Visa officers' details explanation for refusal. After that, he can rectify the reasons and reapply again. You can get more info about GCMS notes by browsing the following website - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/index.asp

First application was single entry and second entry was multiple so basically both refused

What is GCMS?

Global Case Management System is an electronic file, which maintains by CIC and Visa office. https://docs.google.com/document/d/17KrJmBgFUS4UakcSu8ecSQnZn0z9UGmxc9oJ7WOP4LM/edit?pli=1

Travel history has lot of weight, where else have they been outside pak?

Travel history includes multiple visits to India only. Is there any specific travel history required, I mean travel to Europe?

More the better - particularly Europe and North America. I can tell you from personal experience that when they see, 3-4 bundled passports with lots of history, they don't even bother with other docs
