Hi All,
I applied for my father's visitor visa and the application was refused on the following grounds:
1. based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
2. based on the purpose of your visit
3. based on your personal assets and financial status
I recently got approved for Super Visa for my mom, she is a home maker. Since she is coming soon as my wife is pregnant (due to deliver in Aug), I applied for a visitor visa for my father thinking it will be quicker in terms of processing times. This will help in both coming together
The financial assets available for him were in a joint account held with my mother. I had already shared this account with IRCC when I applied for her Super Visa as financial resources. The balance was around CAD 10k. Other than this no other personal assets were disclosed.
My father is retired since over 5 years, I wrote a sponsorship letter and provided my financial details. I also mentioned the reason for visit is birth of his grand child and he wants to be a part of this milestone. I am a Canadian PR with enough income and assets to sponsor him. The difficult part is showing assets in his name in India.
I am planning to apply for a Super Visa. Please advise if it will work, or is there something else that I should try.
Also in the earlier application, i said he will stay here for 4 months, now when I apply for Super Visa I will have to say he will stay for over 6 months. Won't this become contradictory?
Please advise.
