Finally, Parents Visitor Visa (not SV) approved.

Applied paper based: 24 Jan (Karachi, Pakistan)
Link online: Feb 1st
Biometric Validity email on Feb 10th
Approval Status online on Feb 11th

They were refused previously in 2016 for ties in Canada and Travel History.

They have got their validity of visas until 2026 based on their expiry of biometric.

So relieved. Best of luck to everyone.

I applied for TRV on 5th Feb with my family to visit my brother and his family who is a Canadian citizen from Lahore office.

I received the rejection letter today after 2 weeks citing reason based on purpose of visit , family ties in Canada and and my country of residence and travel history.

I made a mistake of putting 2 months of stay which I think is too much for a visitor visa. I have asked people on forum and they say visit should be for few weeks not months.

I am thinking of re-applying again. Can anyone shed light who has experienced something similar?

Biometric done on Feb 21
Biometric Validity letter and eligibility review on Feb 25
Passport Request Feb 26

Congrats @umar441. Seems like paper based applications move really fast instead of online. It's been two months, 1 email inquiry. Nothing so far.

Biometrics date = November 16, 2018.
