Took in PP to visa office on 9th wait 20 min an visa stick into passport.

Was getting Email notification file update,log in but saw noting so i e-mail my local High Commission and i assume they looked at application an approve it since approval letter an their e-mail response was 3 mins apart and there e-mail response did make reference to send passport to office which was a hint it was approve.

Has everyone here not needed to give their biometric data?

I live in Amsterdam, and it seems I have to travel all the way to Germany for what the website says is a "5-minute" process. Taking a day off from work, and having to travel to another country isn't my idea of a 5-minute process! Does anyone have any experience with this?

Looks like most of the applications listed here didn't require biometric data.

I have not even received the passport request, this is taking forever, anyone has had this delay experience how did you finally get through to CIC, I have emailed them at least three times, I sent a request for GCMS notes yesterday hope this helps, it's been 38 days now.

Can I give authorization to my friend in Ottawa and can he go get the passport in person?

As long as it's TRV online application, wherever the residence country of the applicant, it will be processed in Ottawa？

No, only online applications for TRV from North America are processed in Ottawa.

Was checking TRV processing times today, they're pretty impressive for Ottawa.

For mailed in applications, it's only 6 days and right now processing applications received on/by Dec 31st. That's good news for anyone waiting.

Online it's 16 days processing and about two weeks behind.

Processing time for paper application was 37 days before holidays.
I guess they don't get mail on Holidays so thats why it's 6 days now.

They are working on applications received after holidays.

Maybe people applied online because of holidays and the time changed from 10 days to 16.

Can someone please tell me how to apply for a temporary resident visa? I am on a post graduate work permit and plan to travel to my home country in April. I can't seem to find my way on how to apply. Have they changed the system? Can you only send your passport if CIC requests for it to stamp the visa? What is the link to send in an application from Canada?
